GC Dance offers a number of styles in state of the art facilities for students to explore their love of dance in a fun, yet focused environment. This was always the aim when building GC Dance and Director Georgia Canning believes this is exactly what she has created.

After being awarded multiple scholarships from The Royal Academy of Dance, studying at The Australian Ballet School (Certificate III in Dance) and appearing in various Queensland Ballet (Sleeping Beauty) and The Australian Ballet (Graeme Murphy’s Swan Lake) productions, Georgia completed a Bachelor of Communications with The University of Queensland.

Since 2013, Georgia has been awarded a Gold Coast Women in Business Award and spoken at multiple TEDx conferences. She has also completed The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet teachers training course along with becoming a certified Progressing Ballet Technique instructor.

Georgia also founded Tutu Times (adult ballet classes), the Tutu Times Adult Ballet Company and is continuing her studies with the internationally acclaimed Dance for Parkinson’s program.

Above all, Georgia is passionate about ballet and the technique, discipline and grace it can bring to a young child or adults life. You can follow more of her work at www.thebalancedballerina.com.au
